

Dee Anne Mahuna, 83, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on October 18, 2023. Born on September 25, 1940, in Evanston, Illinois and raised in Glencoe, Illinois, Dee Anne was a strong, capable, independent woman and a doting, proud, and generous mother and grandmother. She loved to share her love of travel with her family and friends.
Dee Anne is survived by her three children, Sandy Mahuna Kukahiko, Brian (Debbie) Mahuna, and Peter (Shawna) Mahuna, along with eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Edward and Dorothy Moore.
Dee Anne received a BA in History from Ripon College. She started her career as a homemaker and later served as the Parish Secretary at Holy Innocent's Church on Maui. She was an active member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Beaverton, Oregon, and Holy Innocent's Church in Lahaina, Maui.
In her free time, Dee Anne enjoyed traveling, crafting, and sewing. She would often embark on new adventures and create beautiful handmade crafts.
Dee Anne Mahuna will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her loving spirit and zest for life will forever be remembered.
