

Edith E Brodin was born 12/20/1912 in Gresham, OR and in her childhood moved to Centralia Washington where she graduated from High School. After graduation she entered The Salvation Army School for Officers Training and served in several communities. It was in January of 1937 that she married Hugo Brodin and together they began a life journey that first led them to Alaska for 7 years. They then relocated to Aberdeen where they lived for 18 years. In 1962 the family home was established in Beaverton, OR where she resided until her passing at the age of 99, Arpil 10, 2012.
She was a devout Christian and served faithfully at the Salvation Army Portland Tabernacle Corps in various leadership capacities.
She is survived by a sister, Betty Maas from Salem, OR, four children Hugo Brodin, Lt. Colonel Harold (Joann) Brodin, Herb (Joan) Brodin, and Sylvia Brodin McCaw. She was loved deeply by her Grand Children, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Salvation Army Portland Tabernacle on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 1:30PM.
Private family graveside service held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Portland, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Salvation Army Portland Tabernacle Music Fund, 1712 NE Sandy Blvd., Portland, OR 97232.
