Elaine Therese Fielding

She was born Elaine Therese Hencmann in Denver, Colorado, on July 1, 1931, the daughter of Otto Herman Hencmann and Althea Mary Lakas. She was the youngest of 4 siblings. On December 28, 1950, she married Stephen Mason Fielding, who preceded her in death in 2005.

Their marriage and love for each other produced 2 children, Paula Therese Fielding Hyde (Keith) and Stephen Michael Fielding (Carol), all of whom survive. She also is survived by her 3 granddaughters and their spouses, Kelly Ann Hyde Ordiz (John), Sherri Ann Fielding Hufendick (Jason), and Carrie Ann Hyde Kondor (Andrew). Her greatest joy in her later years was the time she got to spend with her great grandchildren: Jordan, Michael, Gracelynn, Natalie and Ayva.

A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Beaverton, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers of Canfield Assisted Living and St. Vincent Hospital for their compassion and loving kindness to Elaine and her family.
