Hilde S. Jorgensen Konarzewski

Hilde S. Jorgensen Konarzewski, peacefully passed away on June 8, 2023 after suffering a stroke.

She lived an amazing 92 years enjoying family, friends old and new, cooking, knitting, Scrabble, dice games, crossword puzzles, Church and her Tigard home that she lived in since 1964. Most of all, she loved and enjoyed her two granddaughters, Anna and Marisa. Teaching them to swing at the park, walks, library time, reading books and watching movies, shopping and their “make-believe dress up” cooking shows in her kitchen. Many fun times and memories spent with their Marmar.

Hilde was born Hildegard Sybilla Jorgensen in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Karl Gustav Jorgensen and Antonie (Toni) Hildewig Jorgensen. They moved to West Allis, Wisconsin where Hilde graduated from West Allis Central High School in 1948. She had a group of school friends that she stayed in close connection with throughout the years, some since elementary school.

Hilde married Donald James Konarzewski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 11, 1954. They had one daughter born in 1956 and moved to Tigard, Oregon in 1964 where they built 59 years of life, surrounded by loving friends and neighbors. Hilde and Don spent 43 years of marriage together before Don passed away in 1997.

She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Tigard since 1964. She enjoyed her CTK friends, functions, volunteering for Summer Vacation Bible School, Sunday School and many other church member events.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Jeff Peterson (Bethany, OR), granddaughters, Anna Lisa Peterson (Hillsboro, OR), Marisa Dawn Peterson Conan and grandson-in-law Michael Conan (Tigard, OR). One brother Carl Frank Jorgensen (Oak Creek, WI), extended family and friends.

The outpour of love and fond memories expressed by people whose hearts she has touched for decades, years, months, days and even hours, promises that Hilde will live on in all of us for years to come and always with a smile.

Services will at held at Sherwood Community Friends Church, 23264 SW Main Street, Sherwood, OR 97140 on Saturday, August 19, 2023 @ 11:30 AM.
