Jim was born in Salem Ore., to Al and LeOra Parker Feb. 16, 1937, the youngest of their four children. Rising from humble beginnings, he possessed an unmatched work ethic, often juggling multiple jobs. He worked his way into leadership positions within the title insurance industry and was active in his local Beaverton Rotary Club. Jim enjoyed tending to his lush backyard and garden, coaching baseball, and spending time near the water at Lake Merwin, Wash., and Seaside, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Jean "TJ" Parker-Kerns; his parents; siblings; and many beloved canine companions. A consummate family man, Jim was a true patriarch and will be missed by his devoted wife; five remaining children, Vicki Mittendorf, Valerie Giblin, Tim Parker, Phil Parker, and Jason Parkrosz; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Jim will be generously hosted by his dear friend Patrick Stone, from 2 - 5 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Portland Golf Club. We invite his friends, family and acquaintances to celebrate the incredible memories made throughout his nearly 85 years.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.peggpaxsonspringerfuneralhome.com for the Parker family.
