Margaret A Onody

Margaret (Margit) Anna Kinkopf Onody was born May 26th, 1933 in Kistpest Hungary and died of cancer May 9th, 2012 surrounded by her family. Her parents were Janos Kinkopf and Hermina Kovalszky. She grew up as one of three children with her siblings Adel and Jozsef. Margaret was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a good friend to many.

Margit was married to Frank Ferenc Onody May 17th 1952. Frank & Margaret fled Hungary along with their two eldest children on December 18th, 1956 as a result of the Hungarian Revolution. They began a new life in Canada, and later moved to Oregon in 1964. In Oregon, Margaret began her career at Tektronix as a CRT Process Technician where she dedicated 35 years.

She is leaving behind her daughters Margaret Lindahl, Agnes Fry, Juliette Onody and Catherine Borges (their husbands Jon Lindahl, Michael Fry, and Michael Borges).

Margaret is also survived by her grandchildren; Krista Deri (husband Remo), Paul Lindahl (wife Jaime), Scott Lindahl, Angeline Jones (husband Chris), Cassandra Fry, Anthony Borges, Anna Borges and Amanda Borges. Margaret was also a very proud Great Grandmother of two, Hazel Lindahl and James Jones.

Her true calling was being a loving and caring mother and Grandmother. She was Matriarch to her very large and close family.
