He was born in Giovinazzo Bari, Italy on February 21, 1941. He was married to Teresa Cortese on July 6, 1966.
Michele made his career as a restaurant owner for Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant. He had a passion for gardening and winemaking.
Michele is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Teresa Cortese; his beloved children Caterina Cortese Huffman and Nick Cortese; his grandchildren Michele Huffman, Marisa Huffman, Matthew Huffman, Ella Cortese and Luke Cortese; his siblings Antonietta Goffredo, Arcangela Cortese, Pasqua Piscitelli, Speranza Dagostino, Andrea Cortese and Angelo Cortese. He is preceded in death by his sister Maria Corsignana Piscitelli.
