After suffering for years from dementia, she joined her parents and three brothers who predeceased her. Shirley has also joined her late husband Ben, a Winnipeg real estate developer, and son David.
She is survived by her son Rob and daughter-in-law Betty. Shirley raised her family in Winnipeg in the 1950s and 1960s, later moving to Scottsdale, Arizona and then to Beaverton.
Generous, witty and charming, Shirley worked hard to support her family in
every way she could. Fond of the phrase "I do my possible," she surely did. She will be missed.
Shirley has been cremated. There will be no service in Beaverton. Donations, if so desired, may be sent to your local Alzheimer Society.
