Tim was born on June 23, 1956 in Fort Sill, OK to Henry and Delores (Grego) Stafford. He grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School before joining the US Marines and serving honorably in Vietnam, and was also stationed in Okinawa. Returning home, he then moved to Phoenix, AZ, where he continued his love of cars and turned it into his career. As an auto mechanic he held the title with integrity, pride, and skill for over thirty years. After moving to Portland, Oregon he became an AutoCAD drafter and even had one of his pieces published in a national magazine. Later he served as network administrator for the City of Lincoln City, OR.
On June 27, 2009, Tim married Mary Tracy on the beach in Pacific City, OR. His presence lit up a room and he had a heart of gold. His family and his friends meant everything to him. He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He had an honest generosity about him, and if you earned his respect, he was loyal and true to you. He enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, music, fishing, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, cars, billiards, skull memorabilia and his (few, but carefully chosen) tattoos.
He was preceded in death by his parents and second wife Nancy Stafford, and is survived by;
His loving wife Mary Tracy of Beaverton
Children Tina Wykes, Brian Stafford, and Andria Stafford (and their mother Janet Dunn Stafford) of Arizona, and Brian Mathers and Kelly Tracy of Oregon;
and by four grandchildren; Emily, Jenna, Aiden, and Nevayah.
A graveside funeral service with full military honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland on Friday, July 11 at 9:30 AM. For attendance, please arrive by 9:00 AM.
