
DONALD “DON” ELMORE FAYETTEVILLE – Donald Lewis “Don” Elmore, 77, of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley. Born on February 1, 1937 at Mt. Hope, he was the son of the late P. L. (Pearlie) and Grace Nottingham Elmore. Mr. Elmore, a former WV State Trooper, was retired from Prudential Insurance, former independent agent/owner of EEA Insurance in Oak Hill, and a member of Fayetteville Town Council. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended WV Tech and was a graduate of Beckley College. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Grace Elmore Spangler; an infant brother, Grant Dewayne Elmore; and an infant son, Mark Allen Elmore. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sally Foster Elmore of Fayetteville; daughter, Debra Elmore of Fayetteville; daughter, Stacy Elmore White, her husband Bryan; and grandchildren, Tristan, Brandin, and Jorden White, all of Hico; a sister, Joan Elmore Parsons of Fayetteville; two brothers-in-law, Frank (Punk) Spangler, Jr. of Fayetteville and Guy F. Foster and his wife, Carol, of Richwood; a sister-in-law, Linda Foster Moore and her husband, Leo, of Richwood; longtime friends, Jim Akers and William (Buddy) Learmonth; family friend, Wanda Treppicone; several nieces and nephews. Per his request, Donald was cremated and there will be no services.
