Alice Ruth Merrick

Alice Ruth Merrick, 87, of Indianapolis, entered into eternal rest on January 31, 2023 in Indianapolis. She was born on December 23, 1935 in Milton, IN to the late Ellsworth and Cordella Cecil. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene Merrick; son, Scott Brian Merrick; sisters, Pauline Ethell, Aline Bausback, Della Wetzel, Ruby Conrad, Mildred Wallace, Aris Noggle, and Connie Cecil; and her brothers, Robert Cecil, Ray Cecil, and James Cecil. She is survived by her sister, Cleo Ann Shadley; brother, Larry (Sue) Cecil; niece, Janet Bausback Griffey; and her companion, Ted Landwerlan. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers Cheryl Reynolds and Laura Cassell along with Brighton Hospice and Right At Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM with a Rosary at 5:30 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home- Beech Grove, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove, IN 46107. There will be additional visitation on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Stroke Association.
