Brenda Joyce Wright

Brenda Wright, a spirited and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on October 30, 1946, to Ruby and Leroy Hampton, Brenda lived a full life marked by laughter, love, and adventure.

She was a true spitfire—warm, witty, and fiercely devoted to those she loved. Brenda worked for the courts for many years, where her kindness and sense of humor made her not just a respected colleague but also a friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her greatest joy was her family. Brenda cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. She also loved traveling and shared many wonderful adventures with her late husband, Don, who preceded her in death.

Brenda leaves behind three children: Todd, Tommy (Caroline), and Shelly Fishburn; seven grandchildren: Tommy Fishburn Jr., Jordan Alderman, Meleah, Tyler, Natalie, Trey, and Trent Fishburn; and eight great-grandchildren. Her beloved sister, Toni Foster (Eddy), and brother, Rodney Hampton, will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.

A private service will be held for family to honor Brenda’s life.
