Donald Joe Wright, 64, of Beech Grove, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was born on January 17, 1959 in Beech Grove, IN to Donald H. Wright and Marilyn J. (Prather) Wright. Joe was a 1977 graduate of Beech Grove High School and then attended Indiana University Kelley School of Business where he obtained his degree in Accounting.
He was an entrepreneur and the owner of Bravura Health and Wellness. Joe loved and served his community as Mayor of Beech Grove from 2004-2011. He enjoyed playing and watching golf, spending time with his grandchildren in school and sports activities, as well as participating in weekly game nights with his family.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn J. (Prather) Wright.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Jill L. (Dawson) Wright; children, Jennifer L. (Ben) Kennerk and Joseph R. Wright (Kelsi McCauley); father, Donald H. Wright; siblings, Gerald R. (RuthAnne) Wright, Larry A. (Lori) Wright, Teresa K. (Steve) Wade, Teri D. (LaDaryl) Lyte; grandchildren, Logan Kennerk, Adelyn Kennerk, and Dawson Wright; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 at Little & Sons Funeral Home – Beech Grove, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove, IN 46107. Burial will be held in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for a trust fund that will benefit his grandchildren’s education.
