

86, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17th after a short illness. He was in home hospice and died surrounded by his family. Ed retired from Detroit Diesel Allison after 40 years of service as a manufacturing engineer. Ed received the St. George Award for his dedicated service as a Scout Master in the Boy Scout Organization, Troop 108 at Holy Name Church. He was also active as a volunteer educator in the Junior Achievement Program. Ed was a talented woodworker, and an avid card player. He had a sharp wit and was loved by all. He will be greatly missed. His wife, Juanita, survives him as well as their nine children: Kathleen Waugh (Mike), Edward Howe Jr. (Denise), Timothy Howe (Barb), Cynthia Miller (James), Joan Tillett, John Howe (Christine), Nancy Steelman (David), Jill Fox (Dan), David Howe (Yong), as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, December 19 at Little and Sons Funeral Home in Beech Grove from 10:00 to 12:30 p.m. A brief prayer service will be held at 12:30 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Catholic Church in Beech Grove at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
