Edwin "Roy" Alfrey

98, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 26, 2015. Roy retired from Naval Avionics. Roy was also a Purple Heart recipient while he served in the US Army in WWII. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Maxine Alfrey, daughters; Linda (Bill) Lyon, Debbie Everman and Vicki (Mike) Johnson, grandchildren; Angie (Lyon) and Clark Whiddon (children - Shelby and Clark) Amy (Lyon) and Gary Carnall (children – Ethan and John) Robert Willsey (children – Kameron, Tyler and Zachary) Richard and Cambi Willsey (children – Madison and Morgan) Ryan and Jessica Willsey (children – Delaney, RyLee and Myles) Robyn (Willsey) and Jonathan Jennings (children – Cassidy, Cydney, Samantha and Chase) Michael and Theresa Johnson (children – Michael, Ben and Mitchell) Shawn (Lytle) and Rick Haufe (children – Vivian and Joey) Chris and Kristin Lytle (children – Keegan, Kaylin, Corie and Jake)

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter; Rhonda K. Willsey and 5 siblings. Visitation will be held at Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled Veterans Assoc.
