Goldie Caroline Payton

Goldie Caroline (Dyer) Payton, 71, of Beech Grove, peacefully passed on Thursday, October 29 at home. She was born the daughter of Landon and Goldie (Dyer) Payton. Goldie loved spending her time at the casinos, doing scratch offs, and cooking. She was a member at Southwood Baptist Church.

Goldie is survived by her loving husband, Bert Jr.; children, Bert C. III (Renee) Payton, Johnny Payton, Jeffrey (Lori) Payton, Debra (Kevin) Lamping; grandchildren, April Branch, Jake Payton, John Michael Payton, Christopher Payton, Krystal Payton, AJ Jones, Dawn Jones, Caroline Payton, Jeffery Payton, Brian Payton, Amanda Payton, Dylan Hoover, Blake Hoover, Payton Lamping, Alyssa Lamping, Marina Payton, Lexi Byrd, Melanie McKenley; great-grandchildren, Ian Cano, Lucas Cano, Ava Branch, Ellis Branch, Wayland Payton, Chase Payton, Averie Payton, Brandon Payton, Mikayla Payton, Bethany Bovee, Brooke Bovee, Maiden Jones, Adrie Jones, Hannah McKenley, Jacob McKenley, Emily McKenley, and one on the way; and sisters, Ruth Schalk and Joyce Jackson. She was preceded in death by son, Ronald Payton; and ten siblings.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3 at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Greenwood, Indiana.
