James Elbert "Jim" Adams, age 73, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. He was born June 15, 1947 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to the late Dorothy Juanita (Niece) Adams and Cossie Adams. Jim is also preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Adams, Woodrow Wilson Adams, and Johnny Adams. He retired from Beech Grove Schools in 2017 where he spent most of his time as custodian at Central. Jim was a jack of all trades and was always helping others with their projects. He loved spending time with his wife and family at their camp at Deer Creek Campground in North Vernon.
Jim is survived by his wife, Dee Adams; children, LeAnn Gibbs (Shane), James Lawson (Tania), Juanita Deennard, and Stephanie Adams Miller (Edward); siblings, Eddie Adams, Debbie Colvin, Ricky Adams, and Lisa Pray; and 11 grandchildren including, Zachry Gibbs, Zoey Gibbs, and JJ Lawson.
A memorial visitation for James will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM.
