John Francis Keefe

John was in the first graduating class from Scecina Memorial High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for A&P and Marsh Supermarkets retiring in 1997. John loved to tell stories, long and short, which were not always held to be true. It had been rumored that one could tell when John was fibbing because his lips were moving! John was a life long Colts fan and truly enjoyed tailgating and being a season ticket holder for many years. Through the years he found enjoyment being with his family, fishing, bowling, old cowboy western movies, watching birds and nature from the deck he built, listening to "his music very loud", Miller Lite and a good game of euchre with anyone.

John is surivied by his special loved one Ardie Bucher, children Gina Keefe, Catherine Crafton (James), John Keefe and Ginny Keefe; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Stephen Keefe, Mary Brattain, Mark Keefe and Maggie Keefe and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers William and Paul.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday October 22, 2010 at the Moose Family Center # 17, 7055 E. 16th St. Indianapolis, In. 46219 from 4-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Audubon Society, American Heart Association or to a favorite charity would be appreciated.
