Karla was such a shining light in so many peoples lives.  She will be missed terribly.

Karla was one of those rare people in a lifetime that come into your life and it's such a blessing.  Her amazing way to always see the best in any situation and make you feel better was truly a rare gift. Her work ethic was unmatched by many, so much dedication she gave to her students and colleagues.  There was one situation that always stands out to me and it encapsulates who Karla was.  I was under a time crunch to decorate my classroom because I was having my lesson professionally taped and needed it to look great.  Karla could see I was stressed and needed help.  She offered to come help at the end of the day. She would always tease me about my type A personality and say she's a B.  We began hanging pictures and just to see my reaction she started putting the tape on a different way than I showed her.  Then she waited for my reaction and I let a few pictures go by before I had to "correct" her way of taping.  She burst out laughing, "See you are a type A, I knew it was driving you crazy!"  We both got some good belly laughs out of that for weeks to come.  Karla was always smiling, you would never hear her complain, she just handled it. She was just truly one of the most beautiful people I've ever known.  I share your grief in this loss, she will undoubtedly be missed by so many of us whom loved her.

I have been privileged to be able to know Karla as a colleague and friend. I will miss her generosity, humor, dedication, and friendship. I will miss our crazy conversations, shopping trips, and hanging out. Karla pushed me to be a better teacher, mother, and wife.  I will forever be indebted for her impact on my life.

Ms. Hall was not only my role model teacher, but a great friend. I remember her toturing me, Ellie, Mayra & Lindsay after school in Math and Cisco, she would take us to pizza on Tuesdays with her nieces many times. We all looked up to her, she was our school mom <3, always teaching us the right thing to do. Last memory I have of her, was talking over attending my 10 year high school reunion. I will forever treasure you in my heart, Ms. Hall.

Although I only knew Karla for less than a year, she stands out as a marvelous human being and school leader.  She was so dedicated to the teachers and students of George Washington!  I miss her smile and strong spirit.

My prayers and condolences to the family. Karla was a great person and will be deeply missed.

I have had the pleasure of working with many fine teachers over the years in IPS.  Ms. Karla Hall was certainly one of the kindest and gentlest. She made many lives better.

I had the privilege of working with Karla at Pacers Academy.  She was an outstanding teacher...very proficient at her craft, patient with challenged students, and always an encouraging manner.  She was a "kids first" educator.  The world is a better place,  as she touched so many lives in a positive manner.

Ms Hall was a teacher of mine every year from 1998-2002 at Manual. She put her heart and soul into not only teaching her students but also helping us become better people in general. I was never really a fan of any math at all until I met Ms Hall. She always made learning fun. I took CISCO became of Ms Hall. Teaching was definitely her passion. Ms Hall has left a long lasting & life changing impression on my heart and I'm sure that she done the same to anyone that was given the chance to meet her. I am so blessed to have been one of Ms Hall's students.

Karla was a very sweet and friendly person.  We met Karla when we moved on the block and became her neighbor.  She was always smiling and willing to lend a hand for yard work etc... They say only the good die young, and I believe Karla is proof of that.  She will be missed.  -Jessica Kersey

There are no words that can express my feelings right now , Karla was such a kind person, I will miss her very much .

My High-school math teacher !!! Who I absolutely loved ... I couldn't stand math until I meet Miss Hall her one on one was lik genius Material helped me get through every step and she made sure I knew esactly what I was doin before making me move on to something else and never complained lik most teachers did with slow learner !!!! Ms. Hall represents a generation of teachers that has long since passed.  She went above and beyond the call of duty to connect to her students and push them to strive for more.  She pushed me and stood by my side at my absolute lowest.  She believed in me every step of the way, and I'll never forget her.  I could never hope to repay her for what she did for me and my education, but I hope to make sure that everyone knows she was a wonderful woman and a fantastic teacher.  On behalf of every student from George Washington Community High School, thank you for everything Ms. Hall.

Karla  was such a gentle soul.  Anytime I was around her she brought light into the room with her contagious smile and her soft spoken words.
