Lewis E Smith

72, passed away July 16, 2012 in Indianapolis. Lewis graduated from the University of Indianapolis. He was a science teacher and coach for Delaware County Community Schools. Mr. Smith was also employed by the State of Indiana Commission of Public Records for several years. He retired in March of 2001. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Earlene Smith of 54 years; daughters: Lori (Glenn) Sweazey, Terri (Ron) Seats, Luann (Jeff) Matyi, and Tammy Hopkins (Bill); grandchildren: Chardell Kerrigan, Tessa Sweazey, Michelle Wyatt, Miranda Seats, Cody Seats, Nicole Schulz, Samantha Matyi, Heather Matyi, Megan Matyi, Kimberly Hopkins, Craig Roberts, and Ashley Hill; great grandchildren: Xavier Roberts, Tori Wyatt, Tyler Wyatt, Tara Wyatt, Tanner Wyatt, Josh Sweazey, and Jasper Schulz; sister: Susan Wray; and brothers: Donald (Sue) Smith and Kenneth (Linda) Smith. Lewis was preceded in death by a grandson Kyle Roberts. Visitation will be held Thursday July 19th from 11AM-2PM at Little & Sons Funeral Beech Grove Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
