Dear Aunt Marie,
I think of you often, when I eat rocky road ice cream, cinnamon rolls or drive past Baskin Robbins. Thank you to for showing me how to decorate a cake, fold my hair in a bun, and pick veggies in the garden. I will never forget the fun we had in the pool, and on the water slides, and playing miniature golf. And I could never forget the gym with those funny belts.   But, most importantly thank you for spending time with us and making us feel important and special! It broke my heart to hear you passed suddenly. I wanted to get the chance to do special things for you. With so much love and respect, love always, Margaret.

Aunt Marie,

I am deeply saddened to hear that you have left us.  You have provided me, my sisters and brother with so many happy memories of childhood.  We had so many laughs together.  And since the first time you made it for us, a fried egg served on top of toast with the yolk running into the toast, it has been, and forever will be, known to me as an "Aunt Marie Egg". Aunt Marie you were such a big part of my childhood. I so enjoyed spending time with you at your house and makING casette tape recordings of us singing, feeding the birds and playing riddle me re. I wish I would have been able to spend more time with you in my adult years.  Thank you so much for everything you do. I love you and RIP.

GOD BLESS YOU AUNT MARIE FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK AS A NURSE AND BEING AND INSPIRATION TO ALL OF US AS WE GREW UP.  I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE FUN TIMES PLAYING GAMES AT THE APARTMENT AND ALL THE FUN THINGS WE DID WHEN WE VISITED.

To the Milner family,  We were lucky enough 62 years ago to move into the house next door.  I remember Mrs. Milner and her cherry trees and letting all four of us kids eat all the cherries we wanted ( oh my belly) and Mr. Milner coming home from work from the Beech Grove railroad shops.  I always wanted to look like Marie, I always thought she wast so pretty ( guess what Marie I did inherit your wrinkles) .  I will never forget the love we received from your family when we lost my sister Carol and my brother Steve - who was the first ones there to offer comfort and prayers - THE MILNER'S.

Mostly I will never forget the kindness she showed when my Mom died in 2004 - she was there to bring us meals and say prayers over mom.   Thank you beautiful Marie and to all the Milner's for all the love and kindness you showed.  You will never be forgotten.

I have had a month of masses said for Marie from the Franciscan priest.

Thank you Marie for being our angel.

MARIE YOU WILL BE MISSED BY MANY.  YOU ALWAYS BROUGHT A SMILE TO GREET US AND SEEMED TO ALWAYS PASS ALONG POSITIVE THOUGHTS TO US ALL.  YOU HAD AN UNMEASURABLE AMOUNT OF GOODNESS IN YOU TO ALWAYS SHARE WITH YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY.   I ALWAYS REMEMBER HEARING OF YOUR VACATIONS AND SEEING MANY PHOTOS OF OTHER COUNTRIES, WHICH WAS QUITE INSPIRING AS WE BECAME ADULTS.  I REMEMBER SEEING YOU IN YOUR NURSES UNIFORM AS WE VISITED AND STILL WE RECEIVED YOUR SMILE.  I REMEMBER YOUR SEND OFF AS YOU MET US AT THE AIRPORT WHEN I ENTERED THE AIR FORCE.  ..AND I CAN REMEMBER SO MANY MORE AS MANY OF US CAN. SO AGAIN, YES YOU WILL BE MISSED BY MANYTHANKS FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE WITH US ALL MARIE!

Rest in peace Aunt Marie, you memory lives on.

So many good memories with Marie and the family over the years. She added greatly to our childhood and the many times we stayed with her as kids and the many things we were able to do because of her. She was as dedicated to her family as she was to being a great nurse !  You are missed !

Thankyou for loving me and being a part of my family's life.  I so much enjoyed the stories you shared with me about your childhood, nursing, travels and family.  I miss looking at your home, knowing you aren't there anymore.  Until we meet again, I will think of you often, and cherish our hugs and I love yous.  Xo

Marie, it was honor to know you. Some of my fondest memories was playing at your house and eating popsicles. You will forever be in my heart.

Thank you for all the wonderful memories you gave me when coming to visit the family in Indianapolis. You always made sure us kids had fun!!  I hope now you are at peace and are "swimming" with the angels as we all know you loved to swim.  You will be missed.
