Mary E. Babb

Mary was born on February 23, 1921 in Decatur County the daughter of Ora and Stella (Lee) Owens. She was the widow of Raymond L. Babb who preceded her in death in 1984. She was the oldest of five children and is survived by one sister, Grace M. Robbins of Greensburg, In. Her remaining three siblings, James, Virginia and Ora Jr, preceded her in death along with her parents.

Mary lived most of her adult life in Indianapolis where she retired from Western Electric after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed life with her loving poodles, Brandy and Nia. Some of her favorite pastimes were visiting with family, watching the Pacers, Colts and baseball games. Mary will always be remembered for her nurturing and loving nature. She never met a stranger and was always offering a lending hand to others in need. God has truly welcomed home an angel.

Mary will be forever loved and greatly missed by her sister and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Little and Sons Funeral Home on Main St in Beech Grove on Friday, February 28th from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will immediately follow. The burial location will be Washington Park East Cemetery.
