Mildred "Millie" Ross, age 83, of Bluffton, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. Mildred was born May 15, 1938 in Clay, Kentucky, to the late Roland and Ima Thurmond Powell. Mildred worked as a secretary in the engineering department at Wabco of Indianapolis, but spent most of her married life as an amazing wife, mother and home maker. She was a long time member of Southwood Baptist Church in Beech Grove, Indiana. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a faithful supporter of her daughter thorough out her daughter's school days and professional career.
Mildred was married to the love of her life, Harold F. Ross, for 55 years prior to his passing in 2016. She had a great heart of service for her family, friends and neighbors.
Mildred is survived by her daughter; Karen and son-in-law Tim Hirschy, who friends say she had adopted as her own. She is also survived by her sister; Frances Ogles of Nashville, Indiana.
Mildred is preceded in death by her brothers; Robert and Brad Powell.
Visitation will be held at Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral Services will be on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the funeral home at 10:00am with visitation one hour prior to the start of the service. Mildred will rest with her late husband, Harold at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, Indiana.
**MASKS ARE REQUIRED BY THE FAMILY FOR VISITATION AND SERVICE FOR MRS. ROSS**
