Richard Lee Whyde Sr.

Richard Lee Whyde Sr., age 76, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday July 1, 2019. Richard was born on July 17, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late Lee and Mary (Mathis) Whyde. Richard worked as a security guard for many years. He enjoyed attending church. He will be greatly missed. Richard is survived by his children, Jason (Laura) Whyde, Rick Whyde and Richard Lee (Dayna) Whyde; sister, Carol Carver; grandchildren, Ricky Whyde, Shalena Lair, Michael Whyde, Kyle Whyde, Jaymie Whyde, Jocelyne Whyde, Carlee Whyde and Angela Whyde; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Mary Whyde. A burial for Richard will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
