87 of Indianapolis, passed away May 25, 2014. She was born March 17, 1927 to the late Dewey and Helen Mead. Ruth was retired from the Marion County Board of Health, volunteered at St. Paul Hermitage, was a member of the Ave Maria Guild and a former member of the Sweet Adelines. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles and her sister, Barbara McNeal. She is survived by her son; Timothy (Sheila), her daughters; Beth Luster, Janette Lynch, Christina (Dennis) O’ Donnell, Kathleen (John) Sparks and Joyce Ellinger, 15 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2014 4-8pm in Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 with 9:15 prayers at the funeral home and a 10AM service at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul or the American Cancer Society.
