Thomas Edward Hale

79, of Indianapolis, was called home to be with his Lord on May 15, 2016. He was born on December 18, 1936 to Edward T. Hale Jr. and Doris Alma (White) Hale. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Darla Joan Hale, son Ed Hale (Nancy), daughters Debra Summitt (John), and Stacey Dunbar (John), his brother David Hale (Hazel) of Searcy, AR, and his sister Ann Barbas (John) of Valdosta, GA and grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Tom was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard, being honorably discharged in October of 1962.

He worked in commercial kitchen sales and design for approximately 61 years designing and installing kitchens in restaurants, schools, hospitals, churches, and many other establishments throughout the mid-west.

Tom was a member of Grace Baptist Church located in Mohawk, Indiana and was faithful to every service until his health issues overtook him. For several years he taught the adult Sunday school class and was instrumental in the installation of the church’s new heating and cooling system and the addition of a lift.

A memorial service will be held 6pm at Grace Baptist Church 4245 N 200 West Greenfield (Mohawk), IN 46140. In lieu of flowers, a contribution for expenses may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
