Anne Stanford Malone

Anne Stanford Malone was born in Midland, TX to Pat Stanford and Dauphine Stanford December 20, 1952. After moving to Houston during her high school years, she graduated from Marion high school in 1971.

Anne earned a degree in education from the University of Houston where she met Steve Malone, who would become her husband of 35 years. Anne and Steve built a home in Bellaire and together raised three children.

Anne began her teaching career at Stephens Elementary School. She quickly became an active educator in the community at West U Methodist Preschool, St. Marks Episcopal School, St. Vincent de Paul School and Horn Academy.

Anne made this world a better place, devoting herself to the children she taught to read and spreading her infectious laughter.

Anne is survived by her husband Steve, daughter Mandy and husband Brad Loper, son Mike and wife Hayden, son Mitchell, granddaughters Elliot and Caroline Loper, and her brother Pat Stanford and wife Anne. Anne leaves behind countless friends and families who loved her dearly, especially her life-long friend Betsy Adair and family.

Anne passed peacefully and surrounded by family on July 16, 2013. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at West U Methodist Church.
