Arlene was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia early on. For a number of years, the diagnosis remained dormant. After years of being able to continue life as normal with occasional forgetfulness.
Arlene started to be severely impacted by this diagnosis. It started with depression, confusion, and overall being withdrawn. The social, witty, and confident women we once knew could no longer complete normal everyday task. This disease has affected an estimated 55 million people worldwide and the number is expected to rise in the coming years. We would like to make donations in honor of Arlene to help aid accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
