Cande came from Guadalajara, Mexico to Indiana where she met her husband of 40 years, Severo Vasquez. They lovingly raised a family of five. She was an active parishioner of St Mary’s Church. In ’07, she joined St. Dominic Village. Cande enjoyed the daily rosary and weekly bingo. Her floral print wardrobe, warm smile, and introductory line “candy for Cande” allowed her to make and enjoy many friendships. Her deep faith in God allowed her to impact many lives.
She is predeceased by her husband; Elisa Del Rio, daughter; Juan Vasquez, son; and Thomas Vasquez, grandson. She is survived by children; Benito (Deborah Lea) Vasquez, New Mexico, Eva (Paul) Allison, Houston, and Irene (Don) Mauch, Norwell, MA. Grandchildren; Rosalia Vasquez, Jamie, Angel, and Martin Del Rio, Russell and Jessica Hiers, Elizabeth, Mark, and Stephen Allison, Donald Jr., Gabriela Mauch, Juan, Matthew and Eva Vasquez. She leaves several dearly loved nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
