

Carol Ann Lohfink Drawe passed away at her home on Saturday, the 7th of March 2026, at the age of 85. She was admired for her faith, generosity, thoughtfulness, a great love for her family and friends, passion for the arts, especially the Houston Ballet, asking deep questions to get you to think, and wearing bright, beautiful colors.
Carol was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Cyrus (Bud) H. and Inez Burger Lohfink. She is predeceased by her devoted husband, William (Bill) J. Drawe III, parents, sister, Eileen, as well as her in-laws, William J. and Doris Ward Drawe, Jr.
Carol enjoyed her role as attentive mother and then began her professional path at St. Thomas High School. Following that, she worked for the esteemed architect, Howard Barnstone, and rounded out her career at AIM/Invesco for 20 years, working closely with the founders and included support for their foundation.
Carol is survived by her children Donna, Lisa Hanzelka, and Scott and partner PJ Gray; as well as her granddaughter, Anna Hanzelka. Her cherished family extends to her siblings and their spouses (on both sides) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family is grateful for the service of Carol’s caretakers, in particular Comfort, Kateria and Patricia.
Friends are cordially invited to a mass to celebrate Carol’s life with the family at twelve o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 28th of March, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9900 Stella Link Road in Houston. Following the mass, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held at the church.
