Edwin (Ed) Stanley Bersin, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on December 7, 2019. As WWII was one of his great interests and passions, it is poetic that he departed this world on Pearl Harbor Day.
Ed was born on April 30, 1943 to Rachel and George Bersin and was predeceased by them and his brother, Saul Bersin. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sue Ann Bersin and his sons Brent Bersin (Julie), and Michael Bersin (Erin). He was an adoring grandfather to Shafer, Brooke, Tessa, and Sophia Bersin. He will be missed by his brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and countless close friends.
He moved to Houston from Shreveport in 1968 after serving in the US Army. Ed earned his real estate broker's license and had a prosperous commercial real estate business for over 40 years.
Ed’s life was well lived and he will be remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends. They will always remember his wit, humor, and laughter. He was an avid Disney watch collector, quick with a story, and loved to play poker and spend time with his “breakfast crew”.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the charity of your choice.
