Faye B. Ortiz

Faye Benavidez Ortiz, age 95, passed away December 20, 2019. She was born July 7, 1924 to Jose Benavidez and Gorgonia Quesada in Lockhart, TX. Faye was preceded in death by her siblings, Jesse, Eusebio, Filomena, Damian, Jose, Antonia, Lorenzo, Nicolas, Nicolasa and Seferino. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Cruz C. Ortiz, Sr; children, Maryann Hanlen and husband Edward, Virginia Faye Ortiz, Belinda Townsend and husband Raymond, and Cruz Ortiz, Jr.; siblings, Clara Hedgewood and Garland Benavidez; grandchildren, Denise Ann Pressler and husband Lewis, Armando Eric Reyes, Kimberly Dawn Harter, Kristina Dudley and husband Eric, Kandice Canterbury, Desiree Ortiz, Mathew Laxson and wife Bridget, Cruz Ortiz, III, and Jessica Latham; 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm, with a 7pm Rosary, Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, TX. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, December 27, 2019 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Rd., Houston, TX. Rite of Committal will be held at 1:45 pm, Monday, December 30, 2019 at Houston National Cemetery.
