Frank Gregg

Frank Gregg departed this life on November 28, 2013. He was born September 25, 1924 in Houston, TX. He grew up in the Heights taking the streetcar downtown on Saturdays to enjoy a movie and 5 Coney Island hotdogs for 50 cents. He graduated from Reagan High School where he played football and basketball. He attended Rice University before joining the Army. Afterward he worked at Gulf Oil for over 40 years as a petroleum engineer. His retirement years were spent volunteering at the Houston Public Library, Houston Arboretum, Spring Branch Science Center, Brazos Bend State Park, and the Food Bank. He also enjoyed reading, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with family.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Eithnea Joyce Gregg. He is survived by his children, Martha, Deirdre, Michael and his wife Peggy, and Ronan Gregg and his wife Melanie; and grandchildren, Cameron, John, Matthew and Gunnar.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 1245 Heights Blvd., followed by the Interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
