Todd and Jody,  What a great man, I had the honor to work for Mr Barnes at the T bird shop on Albans in the late 70's and early 80's. he gave me an oppoutunity and taught me a lot about craftsmanship,  he was one of the very best influencers on me,

To The Family:  So sorry to hear about your Dad.  Jack was a good friend and T-Bird associate.  We had many great years talking about cars and working on cars.  He was a great friend and a wonderful addition to the T-Bird Club.  He will be sorely missed.

I met Jack in 1991 upon returning to Houston and joining the CTOH Club.  He was exceedingly knowledgeable and a great and honest craftsman in repairing and maintaining my TBirds.  It was a pleasure knowing him as a friend and fellow CTOH member.  Rest in peace, Jack.

Todd and family, My greatest sympathies are with you. I worked for your Dad and with you Todd in the early 1990's and was a memeber of the Thunder Bird Club (with my Grandpa Dennis Burrows). Mr. Barnes was a great man and taught me as a young man some great life lessons. He was a great mentor and teacher. Thank You Mr. Barnes

Dear Jody and family,
  Donnah and I send our sincere condolences.  Our days in VTOH provided us with many fond memories which would not be the same had you Dad not been there with his wit and big smile(not to mention all the work he did on our '65 Bird keeping it running). 
  Please know that we are sad that we will not be able to attend his services as we have a previously planned trip that will take us out of town from the 20th to the 27th. 
  I know you are proud of your Dad's military service to our country and his "service" to all T-Birders...hold on to those memories.

Jody - your Dad is swapping sailing stories with my Dad now.  Salty ol'dogs are bragging about who had the fastest Gary 18.  I know your loss is great - but so is the love all around you lifting you up.  I love you and have since forever  - well since we got past childhood, at least!  God bless and keep you and Todd and Jackie through this time of grief.  Love, Sandy

Dear Jackie, I am so sorry to read about your father. He certainly did alot in his lifetime and I can see that talent in you.
