

Born in Okmulgee Oklahoma, he grew up in south Texas before moving to Houston in the late 1960s. Then he began a successful career in retail sales. He was a natural born salesman with focus on customer satisfaction. For the past 5-6 years he referred to himself as "just a boot salesman". He always had a smile on his face and will be remembered as a kindhearted man who always put others before himself. He spend many years volunteering for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Pin Oak Charity Horse Show and Harris County Fair.
John had a love for cars especially sports cars even though you would most likely find him driving the speed limit.
John loved all animals and enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds comingle and share food in his back yard.
John will be missed by all that knew him. May our memories help sustain us as we begin our lives without him.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, mother, stepfather and sister.
John was a loving husband, father and brother and is survived by immediate and extended family.
A Memorial service will be held on July 16.2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Marks Episcopal Church,
3816 Bellaire Blvd. Memorials can by made in John's name to the Texas Heart Institute or St. Marks Episcopal Church.
