Jose Angel Valdez

He was born in 1948, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Rafael Valdez and Paula Frías. He spent his early years there before immigrating to the United States, where he built a life through hard work, determination, and dedication to his family.

Jose worked as an auto body collision technician at various Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealerships before proudly opening his own business, JV Auto Body Detail. He took great pride in his craft and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to doing things the right way.

In 1970, he married Gloria, with whom he shared many years of marriage until her passing in 1994. Together, they built a family rooted in faith, resilience, strength, and love.

Outside of work, Jose enjoyed fishing, watching soccer, was an avid coin collector and visiting his beloved home town. He was known for being strict, firm, and determined – qualities that shaped his family and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Jose is survived by his children, “M”, Angel, Alfonso, Paul, and Priscilla, their spouses, his eight grandchildren, his siblings, Francisco and Rosa, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria, his parents, Rafael and Paula and his siblings, Rafael and Jesus.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
