Margaret Casey Rafferty

MARGARET HELEN CASEY RAFFERTY passed away on November 12, 2010. She was born in Caney, Kansas on January 20, 1917. As a child she moved several times before her family settled in the Houston Heights. Margaret was a graduate of Incarnate Word Academy in Houston. During her lifetime she had many friends and was especially kind and helpful to elderly friends. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital for over 25 years was a member of the Altar Society at several Catholic churches.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Charles Jerome Rafferty, parents James and Margaret Casey, brothers James and Vincent Casey, sisters Lucille Casey, Katherine Buck and Doris Manning. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Foyt and husband David, son Fr. Thomas F. Rafferty, several sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary/Wake Service beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2010, in the Warren Chapel at St. Dominic Village, 2401 Holcombe Blvd. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 East 10th St. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Dominic Village, 2409 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77021-2023.
