Maxine V. Kronk, age 87, died August 12, 2012. Born in Aliquippa, PA, Maxine wed Courtney C. Kronk, Jr. in 1946 and spent the next 30 years as a devoted wife and mother, relocating numerous times prior to settling in Houston in 1976, shortly after which she was widowed. She remained a dedicated parent to her four children and became a long-time resident of
Houston.
Maxine spent many years working in various universities and eventually retired from Shell Oil Company. In retirement, she was a dedicated volunteer for several organizations and charitable causes.
Predeceased by her husband and her eldest daughter, Kathleen Kronk, Maxine is survived by her remaining children, Courtney and Anne Kronk, Jeffrey Kronk, and Joan Kronk Heaton as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will have a private service on Saturday, August 25, 2012.
