

Michael Eugene Richardson,age 59, often referred to as Mike-The Handiman. He was born in Miami, OK. Passed away on May 29, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer from asbestos exposure.
He proudly served his country in the Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. After his honorable discharge, he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for 14 years then spent the remainder of his life as a commercial and residential repairman. He was well respected for his honesty, his experience and the ability to come up with creative solutions to complete any unusual or difficult repair problems.
He was liked and loved for his down to earth, happy go lucky attitude and always had a smile on his face. He was always there and ready to lend a helping hand, anytime, someone needed him.
He was a loving and caring husband and father. He loved to Bass fish and was very good at it, and a part-time builder. His most favorite project and place as well as his biggest accomplishment was the “DREAM” home he built for his wife of 21 years on Houston County Lake in Crockett, Texas. He was so proud that he was able to do all the work himself from the ground up with a “little” help from his two sons Jesse Richardson and Daniel Alford.
He is survived by his wife Judy Richardson, two sons, Jesse and Daniel, father, John Holder, two brothers, Alan and Dwayne Richardson and sister Deeanne Samford.
A Memorial Service in Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday June 3, 2012 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, Texas 77401.
