

Molly Jo Higgins was born on December 13, 1952 in Appleton, WI to the late Bill and Marlene Higgins. She graduated with a degree in Education from New Mexico State University, and later received her master's degree in Educational Counseling from UTPB. She worked at Midland ISD for over 30 years as a teacher and then later a secondary counselor. Molly loved spending time with her family and playing and watching sports, especially tennis. She played competitive tennis up until the age of 66. She treasured watching over her grandchildren and spending time at the fields or courts watching them play sports. She also greatly enjoyed cooking and art. She will always be remembered for her famous Christmas cookies.
Molly is survived by her sons: Cody and his wife Kristin Marcum of Houston, TX, Colby and his wife Katie Marcum of Midland, TX, and Colter Marcum of Austin, TX; her grandchildren Rylan and Brielle of Midland, TX and Cooper, Caroline, and Vivian of Houston, TX; her sisters Laurie Higgins of Cerrillos, NM, Liz Martino of Chandler, AZ, Susie Kihneman of San Deigo, CA, Jill Higgins of Albuquerque, NM, and brother John Higgins of Albuquerque, NM. She was predeceased by her brother David Higgins and her parents, Bill and Marlene Higgins, all of Santa Fe, NM.
Her service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, June 28 at St. Ann's Catholic Church at 1906 W Texas Ave, Midland, TX.
