

Ida Muriel Munn Webb passed away on May 11, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born on January 24, 1925 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Lonnie and Mae Munn. Muriel grew up in Charlotte with older brother J.C. and younger sister Geraldine. She graduated from Oakhurst High School in 1942, graduated from King's Business School, worked at General Dystuff and then worked at Buening Engraving Company.
Muriel loved to go to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with her friends and frequented USO dances as a Charlotte Victory Belle at the beginning of WWII. This is where she met Robert (Bob) Webb. They married on October 20, 1945 in Charlotte. After living there and in Columbia, S.C., they moved to Greenville, Texas, and then settled in Houston in 1959.
Home and family were everything to Muriel. As a loving wife and mother she enjoyed sewing and gardening, served as a Girl Scout leader and room mother, threw countless birthday parties, and welcomed every neighborhood kid into her home. She was an involved member of Willow Meadows Baptist Church. Muriel was a living example of selfless and unconditional love for her children and grandchildren.
Muriel is survived by her sister, Geraldine Munn Fadel, daughter, Terri Louviere, son Robert (Bob) Webb, Jr., daughter Jerri McClennen and husband Mark, grandchildren Suzanna Price Bryant, Robert Price USMC and wife Brenna, Pace Webb, Alison McClennen, Ryann McClennen, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Robert R. Webb Sr., daughter Sherron R. Webb, and brother J.C. Munn.
