Born on April 16, 1935, in Manhattan, New York, Murray lived a full and meaningful life guided by integrity, quiet strength, and deep devotion to those he loved. He served with honor in the United States Army from 1958 to 1964 and later built a long and successful career as a CPA and banker. Those who worked alongside him knew him as a steady, thoughtful presence who led by example and always gave his best.
Murray was also a proud member of the Shriners, where he found joy and camaraderie in his involvement over the years.
A lifelong sports fan, Murray especially loved watching games and spent many years helping with the UTEP track and field program, something that brought him great pride.
Above all else, Murray was most proud of his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Sharon, with whom he shared a lifetime of unwavering love, partnership, and devotion. He also leaves his children Laura, Diana, Nita, and Jimmy; his grandchildren Jeffrey, Matthew, Trevor, Brooke, Samantha, and Molly; two great-grandchildren, Ezra and Eden; and his dear sister, Renee Loventhal.
Murray will be remembered for the love and stability he brought into the lives of those closest to him. His quiet presence, warm heart, and steady guidance will be deeply missed. He was admired by all who knew him for his integrity, his loyalty, and his genuine kindness.
