

Oran Stanley Robinson, Jr was given life on March 26, 1934 by parents Emma Oliver and Oran Stanley Robinson, Sr., and on October 21, 2014, he was forced to give it back. He died his death as he lived his life, “HIS WAY!”
To his first union in marriage to Hazel C. Garner was one child born, named after her father, Orine. To his second union in marriage to Betty Jean Avery were three other children blessed with life, Andra, Annetta and once again to pay homage to his heritage, Oran, the third.
Pete, as everyone who knew him in LaMarque, enlisted in the Air Force in December of 1951 and rose to rank of Tech Sargeant. His final days in the military were spent back in Texas where he retired from Kelly (Lackland) Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and his Masters in Junior College Administration, from Prairie View A. M. University, Prairie View, Texas. After completing his education, he accepted a position with Lincoln Land Community College, in Springfield Illliois, then went the State of Illinois where he ended his working career as the Supervisor of Hazardous Materials Compliance and Enforcement with the State’s Emergency Management Agency. He retired in Dickinson, Texas.
Oran Stanley Robinson, Jr. leaves to mourn his passing, four children; Orine S. Newton (Eugene), Andra Owens (Jimmie), Annetta Lynn Robinson, Oran Robinson,III, Grandsons; Jimmie, Jr., Michael, Steven, Malik, and Diarious, Granddaughters Timora, Noel, and Serena, and their respective spouses, 10 great grandchildren, and a family of Olivers (who lovingly call him their other brother), a host of family, and friends.
