Patricia Maher Thorn

Patricia Maher Thorn born September 4, 1929 in Houston, Texas was ushered by angels into heaven March 5, 2012. Patsy was a graduate of Lamar High School and Rice University where she was a member of The Elizabeth Baldwin Literary Society. In 1951 Patsy married Harry Tom Thorn, They were residents of Bellaire for 54 years and involved in several civic organizations. She was member of Bellaire United Methodist Church and the Gibson Class. Patsy worked at Horn Academy for 25 years where all of her children and many of her grandchildren went to school. She was an avid bridge player, playing with the same club for many years. She enjoyed spending weekends with her family and friends at their house on Lake Livingston.

Patsy was preceded in death by her mother Daisy Correll & her father Paul G. Maher and her husband of 56 years, Harry T. Thorn. She is survived by son Tom Thorn (Kim) of Mobile, AL and daughters Sherry Kasprzak (Joe) and Trudy Jackson (Andy) both of Bellaire and Tricia Dickinson (Philip) of Katy, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren Scott, Tiffany, Jason, Krystle (Scott), Courtney (Chris), Joshua, Brandon, Tyler, and Justin and one great granddaughter Adelynn.

Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2012 and Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2012, both services will be at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris St. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
