Robert Adam Belk

Robert (Bob) Adam Belk, 68, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025. Born on March 27, 1957, in Port Lavaca, Texas, Bob earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas in 1980 and his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 1983. He began his legal career with Fouts & Moore in Houston and later joined Champion Realty Corporation as a corporate real estate attorney and network administrator. From 1998 to 2001, he served as Manager of Information Systems at Premiere Holdings of Texas.

In 2001, Bob returned to law, serving as Of Counsel at Hoover Slovacek in Houston. In 2003, he joined Berie, Lamberth & MacInnis and he continued practicing law until his passing.

Bob was a private man who never married or had children, but was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his sister, Lorna Belk of Austin, TX, her husband Jim Nolen and their sons, Nic and Zac Nolen. He is also survived by Rebecca Belk Holland of Port Lavaca, TX and her husband, Steve Holland and their daughter, Brandi Holland. Also surviving Bob are his Aunt Sherrill Soblaskey, Aunt Rita Goudreau, and Uncle Bill and Aunt Kay Soblaskey, all from the UP of Michigan, as well as numerous cousins in Texas and Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ella and Richard Leroy Belk of Port Lavaca, TX, his grandparents, Mary Pearl Belk and Adam Soblaskey, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Bob was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church in Port Lavaca, TX.

Bob loved hunting, fishing, golfing, playing dominos and poker, traveling, and rooting for his beloved Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. His family and friends will remember him for his sharp intellect, gregarious personality, and his uncanny ability to recall dates and events.

A celebration of his life will be held at Earthman's Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St, Bellaire, TX 77401 on May 30, 2025 at 2:00. A reception will follow the service from 3:00-5:00 pm. The family asks that you share your memory of Bob on his Dignity website:
