Rocky (Ronald) C. Parsons

Rocky (Ronald C.) Parsons, 78, of Houston, Texas, passed away December 3, 2016. Rocky is survived by his wife, Denise, four children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was born and raised in Houston. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1952-1959. Rocky worked at Baker Oil Tools for 16 years starting as a shop helper, becoming a machinist, moving to NC programming, then cost accounting, and ending his career with them as a Plant Manager. With that varied background, he founded three companies: Techni-Kote, Inc. (1977), Mandrels, Inc. (1981), and Coating Chemistry, Inc. (2010); and has several U.S. patents related to his businesses.

Those who knew Rocky well will remember him for his love of being on the water. In their travels, he and Denise traveled by boat or at least included a coastline in the trip. He enjoyed building anything from boat docks, to houses, to businesses, and was always ready to lend a hand.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on December 18th at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home (New Location) 4525 Bissonnet, Bellaire, TX 77401.
