Ruth Mercedes Emshoff

Ruth Mercedes Meyer Emshoff of Houston Texas, passed away December 10, 2012 at Gazebo Terrace in Brenham, TX. She was a graduate of Bellville High School and Blinn Junior College. Ruth enjoyed a career in the banking, mortgage and Real Estate profession for many years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bellaire.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy H. Emshoff; parents, Robert and Ida Tesch Meyer; stepmother, Emma Meyer; sister, Dorothy Meyer Brand; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto and Laura Emshoff; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ialine and Fred Rau; sister-in-law, Helen Emshoff and brother-in-law, Clarence Emshoff.

Ruth is survived by her aunt, Olga Tesch of Brenham, TX; brother-in-law, Bennie Emshoff of Brenham, TX; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Elmo and Bertha Emshoff of Austin, TX; nieces, Judy Rothmeier and husband Lloyd of Grand Rapids, MN; Linda Knipstein and husband Gary of Brenham, TX, Tina Russ and husband Robert of Hallettsville, TX; nephews, Freddie Rau and wife Gloria of Burnsville, MN, Glenn Emshoff of Sugarland, TX, David Emshoff and wife Pam of Cedar Park, TX; godson, Erik Rothmeier; and numerous great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

There will be a Visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4600 Bellaire Blvd. followed by a 11:00 AM Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Kerry Nelson. Interment will be at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith House Ministry at Faith Lutheran Church or Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 E. Blue Bell Rd. Brenham, TX 77833
