Susan Alice Hicks

SUSAN ALICE HICKS, passed away on October 1, 2014. She was born to John and Bertha Keller on the 5th of November, 1936 in La Grange, Illinois. Sue graduated from Union City High School in Michigan, where she met and married Dale Hicks, the love of her life, on October 16, 1954. They moved to Texas where she worked for Meyerland Glass and for Stone and Webster. Sue loved spending time with family and friends or taking a cruise to a new destination. She was always ready to support Dale as President/Partner of his company, Alief American Door-Tech.

As a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Sue is survived by her husband, Dale Richard Hicks, their children, Pete, Steve, Lonnie, Kathy, and Ray, and grandchildren, Chris, Jeffrey, Aaron, Brian, Jamie, Peter John, Jarrod, Shannon, Jordan and Meagan. She is also survived by her sisters, Doris Pierce of Chicago, and Mary Ann Conboy of Iowa, along with 8 great grandchildren and several daughters and sons in law.

A private memorial for immediate family was held on the 2nd of October. A celebration of Sue’s love of life, family and friends is being planned for late 2014.
