William Mark Richardson

William (Bill) M. Richardson, age 84, passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston, TX on January 2, 2015, with his children at his side. Bill was born in Allen, TX on November 10, 1930 to Florence and Walter D. Richardson. Bill, his parents, and four brothers and sister moved to Dallas when he was a young boy. In Dallas, Bill met the love of his life, Mary. They were married on June 4, 1949. Bill and Mary were wed 62 years before Mary passed away on May 3, 2012.

Bill is survived by his son, Rick and his wife, Fay, of Littleton, CO and his daughter, Lana and her husband, Michael, of Sugar Land, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Vona and her husband, Don, of Dallas, TX, and brother-in-law, William and his wife, Jean, of Dallas, TX, along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers, James, Ray, Walter Lee, and Cary, and his wife, Mary.

Bill worked for Flowers Baking Industries for 60+ years before retiring from the company in 2010. He started as a young man delivering bread and worked his way up to an executive at the Houston plant. Bill was in the Naval Reserves for seventeen years and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also one of the founding members of The Executive Hunting Club.

Bill was a very caring person, a devoted husband, and a loving father. There are not enough words to express how much he will be missed.
