Ardith was born March 17, 1956 in Belleville, IL to Eulis and Lounelle (Brock) Jones. They preceded her in death as well as her aunt and uncle, Peggy and Les Shreve; and her cousin, Loren Shreve.
Ardith is survived by her daughter, Devyn (Michael) Seymour of Waterloo, IL; her beloved grandchildren, Linken and Lylah; and her former husband, George Allen of Columbia, IL.
Ardith was a loving woman who touched the lives of many through her kindness and quiet strength. She worked for many years at Macy’s at the Galleria, where she was known for her dedication and friendly nature. Ardith was a faithful member of St. Catherine LaBoure Catholic Church in Cahokia, Illinois. She had a lifelong love of rock music, especially The Beatles, which always brought her joy. Above all, Ardith cherished her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She also deeply loved her dog, Paisley, who was a constant companion. Ardith will be remembered for her love of family, her gentle spirit, and the joy she brought to so many throughout her life.
The family has entrusted Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL with cremation rites.
